CLINICAL-ASSISTANCE ACTIVITY
Dr. Capobianco has performed clinical-assistance activities within the Neurological Department of the San Luigi University hospital acquiring competence in the management of common neurological diseases.

In particular, he takes part in all outpatient clinical assistance, ordinary hospitalization, Day Service / Day Hospital and first aid. In this context he has acquired expertise in the management of acute neurological diseases and in particular stroke with access to systemic thrombolysis, status of epileptic disease, inflammatoryinfectious neurological pathology.
In the field of outpatient care and Day Hospital, he performs clinical-therapeutic activities with management of all immunomodulatory and immunosuppressive therapies for Multiple Sclerosis and autoimmune neurological diseases affecting both CNS and/or PNS.

As head of neurological day hospital and outpatient activities, he has coordinated the activity of medical personnel (2 units) and nurses (6 units).
He is now the director of the Neurological Department with inpatients ward (15 beds) and outpatients clinic.
He is the referent neurologist for the hospital project on the intra-hospital emergency commission.
He is the referent neurologist for the Bone Marrow Transplant Center of the San Luigi Gonzaga University Hospital.

RESEARCH ACTIVITY
Dr. Capobianco is the author of more than 80 reviewed scientific articles and more than 300 abstracts at scientific conferences.

He has also played the role of referee for several peer-reviewed scientific journals in the neurological and immunological field (Neurological Science, BMJ Neurology, Frontiers in Neurology).
He is Associate Editor for BMC Neurology.
He is involved in phase III and IV clinical studies on multiple sclerosis therapies, or spontaneous research projects both as principal investigator and treating physician (40 clinical studies conducted since 2006 to date).
In this context, he has acquired management and conduct of clinical studies receiving a qualification certificate from the GCP (Good Clinical Practice) and within the framework of Multiple Sclerosis is certified for the administration of Neurostatus.
He also partecipated to several medical meeting as speaker, mainly on the topic of Multiple Sclerosis and related disorders.
